How we handle your data at QRForge. Spoiler: we collect very little and don't sell anything.
Last updated: July 4, 2026
✓ No account required - We don't collect personal info like names or emails
✓ Minimal tracking - Just basic usage stats to keep the service running
✓ No data selling - We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone
✓ No cross-site tracking - We don't follow you around the web
When you create a QR code, we temporarily process the information you enter (like URLs, contact details, or WiFi passwords) to generate the code. This data isn't stored on our servers - it's processed and then discarded.
For URL shortening, we store the original URL and the short code we generate. We also track basic click statistics (how many times the link was clicked) but don't track who clicked it.
We collect basic usage information like which features are used most, how many QR codes are created, and general error rates. This helps us improve the service and fix problems.
We see standard web information like your browser type, device type, and general location (country/region). This helps us ensure QRForge works well on different devices and browsers.
✗ Personal information - No names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses
✗ Account data - No passwords, profiles, or user accounts
✗ Precise location - No GPS coordinates or exact addresses
✗ Cross-site tracking - No following you to other websites
✗ Sensitive data - No financial info, health data, or personal documents
The main use is to make QRForge work - generating your QR codes, shortening URLs, and providing click statistics for your links.
We analyze usage patterns to understand which features are popular, identify bugs, and decide what improvements to make. All of this is done with aggregated, anonymous data.
We monitor for unusual activity that might indicate abuse, spam, or security issues. This helps keep QRForge running smoothly for everyone.
QRForge runs on Cloudflare's global network, which means your data might be processed in various locations worldwide. Cloudflare has strong security practices and compliance certifications.
Shortened URLs and their click counts are kept indefinitely (so your links keep working). Usage analytics are kept for up to 2 years. QR code content isn't stored at all.
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, secure databases, and regular security updates. However, no system is 100% secure.
We use minimal cookies to make the site work properly - things like remembering your preferences and preventing duplicate submissions.
We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how people use QRForge. This doesn't track individuals or create detailed profiles.
We show ads to keep QRForge free. These ads may use cookies, but we don't share your personal data with advertisers or allow invasive tracking.
QRForge uses a few third-party services to operate:
These services have their own privacy policies, but we choose providers that respect user privacy and don't require sharing personal information.
Since we don't collect personal information or require accounts, there's not much personal data to access. If you have specific concerns, feel free to reach out.
QR code content isn't stored, so there's nothing to delete there. If you want a shortened URL removed, we can disable it, but this will break any QR codes or links that use it.
You can control cookies and tracking through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies, clear stored data, and limit tracking.
We might update this privacy policy occasionally as we add features or change how things work. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and might add a notice on the site.
We're committed to keeping QRForge privacy-friendly. Any changes will maintain our core principles of minimal data collection and no personal information requirements.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or how we handle data, we're happy to help clarify things. Most questions are covered in our FAQ, but feel free to reach out if you need more specific information.
QRForge was built with privacy in mind from the start. No accounts, minimal tracking, and no data selling aren't just policies - they're core to how the service works. We believe useful tools don't need to invade your privacy.
